back to life:-...and mirror beauty

Yay...you came back.  Thanks for the support.  Now that the initial shock has worn off for most of you let's get back to life....life decorated that is.

For the past few weeks I've been working for this beautiful client and loving every minute of it.  I spent a couple hours transforming this super cool mirror which I wanted to hang on my wall when it was all said and done.  I'll have MUCH better pictures once it's hung, the artwork opposite the mirror is hung and the lamps are reworked...much to do so stick with me for updates.

Sharing this news without first sharing a scripture that fits the news so here we begin....

We've all been created for a special purpose and how can each of us live a truly "Decorated" life if we aren't living out that purpose we were made for?    Lesson from Galatians: 

• don't compare yourself with others
• don't be filled with pride thinking its all about you
• Live creatively and do your very best at whatever it is God has called you to.

For the past week and a half I've had this big, long post written and revised half a dozen times trying to wrangle words on a page into an eloquent, captivating announcement & explanation would have you on the edge of your seat.  Then I tossed the whole thing out then brought some of it back and so on...... Even though the details are between me, God and my Honey read on for .....the story and the news.  (it's a bit winded but worth the read)

ready for news? what about LOVE?

I had projected I would post my Big News Splash on Wednesday only to find my day booked solid: a client meeting, decor shopping, lunch with a friend, fabric shopping then rounding out nicely with housework and kiddos.  My whirlwind of a Wednesday came and went with only a thought or two casually running into my blog entry, mostly while driving all over Austin.

I'm constantly in a random reading process.  I have anywhere from 2-6 books I'm reading at any given time.  I like to keep them spread all throughout the house so I can sit just about anywhere & find a book on hand.  I ask often God what He

change: embrace it

As change occurs in our lives we either welcome it with open arms or fight against it.  Which way do you tend to lean?  I LOVE change.  I absolutely hate mundane, boring, never-changing ANYTHING!  I say that to say this new phase of my life has been a little....uh......challenging.
